Delicious Dining Rooms

I love creating different meals so a dining room for me needs to be a relaxing place to enjoy a tasty and satisfying meal with family and friends or quietly on my own. Here’s a few designs that have caught my eye……

I love this big table with the simple elegance of the white chairs. The decor is soothing with very clean lines. The roaring fire adds a real homely feel. From Prime Home Design

Love this deep violet and pink damask wallpaper from Graham & Brown, I think it looks good on a feature wall but perhaps it’s a bit much for all 4 walls.  Keep furniture simple but luxurious, with a glossy black dining table and high-backed chairs in a rich plum. Complete the look with glistening accessories, such a gold table runner and bronze mirror. The chairs are from House of Fraser, and wallpaper is from Graham & Brown

I love the different coloured chairs all scattered around the long dining table. The design has a very relaxed, open plan feel to it. The bookshelves with all those lovely books on them really do it for me. From Eclectic Living.

The colours are gorgeous in this design, the table top is stunning and I love the turquoise wall. By A Stylish Nest.

The chandelier really makes this design, love it. By House to Home.

I have been promised a caravan by my wonderful husband Paul (I have wanted one for ages) but I want to refurbish an old one (pretty sure I won’t be allowed to?!). Look at these beautiful ones…..

The sage green is so peaceful and inviting. Photo is from Dream Occasions

I love the simplicity of this design, with just a few details the look of the caravan has been completely altered. Love the floor. Photo from Cherish Maree Vintage

Wow Retro Look caravan, gorgeous, what more can I say? Photo from My Deco.

Polka dots and flowers, very shabby chic. Love it. Photo found on Flickr.

This is so effective but created just with throws, cushions, a rug and a table cloth. Very cosy. Photo from Prenons Le temp.

This is a similar design of caravan to the one we would like to buy (minus the beautiful alterations)….I would like to completely transform ours as well. Photo from Indulgy.

Stairs with style….

It’s been a while since I last posted, have been very busy working last week.

I really want to do up some stairs….I don’t know why…I have just seen loads I like recently!

I love the idea of putting wallpaper on the actual stairs. How cool is this?

What’s not to love about these moroccan, boho tiled stairs. I would love to walk up these every day, gorgeous.

I love the idea of having numbered stairs as my girls count stairs as they walk (skip) up and down. And books as stairs, it surely doesn’t get much better than that!!

from Humour Sharing

Who can’t do with a bit of extra storage? Utilising your stairs, what a great idea. Love it!

From google

These reclaimed wooden box stairs are so very rustic and stylish, I love how they are wall hung to give the impression of a floating staircase.

Loving the pretty flowery stair carpet which works so well with the stripy wallpaper!

Red Interiors….

Red can look amazing when used properly in Interior Design. It can add real drama and passion to a scheme just by adding a couple of accessories, cushions or an accent wall.

Here are a few red Interiors which caught my eye….

Red can sometimes be quite overpowering but I think this design works well with the creams and whites balancing the reds of the walls and cushions. Photo from Home Design Gallery

Got to have a bit of boho in here somewhere….I think the hints of red in the design add a really unusual finish, I love it.                                      Photo from Little Blue Deer

Flowers add subtle accents to any design. I love the tarnished gold vase in the first design. The red walls in the second design look great with the pictures and photos which are all a little bit wonky, very shabby chic, love it! Photos by

Beautiful wallpaper complemented by the tulip chair. Photo from Styled Haven.

The reds and greens go so well together and the patterns and textures add so much depth. Photo from Apartment Therapy.

I really wanted to find a red bathroom too and this was the one I liked. I think the bath is amazing and it really complements the toile wallpaper.  Photo from Home Decor.

I have been looking for cushions and for some reason I cannot find any in my usual haunts, nothing appeals to me. I kind of know what I want which in some cases I think doesn’t always help as nothing is quite right. Anyway I have had a look online and seen a few that might fit the bill.

Designer Flower Cushion

by Jan Constantine.       I love this one. It’s very feminine without being too flouncy. Hearts always work too.

By Emily Brown Designs. So pretty, I love the grey fabric background, it really brings out the colour of the 3D flowers, beautiful.

by An Angel at my Table. These are stunning, I love the yellow, and the floral pattern is beautiful, they would really add depth to my design.

Bohemian Bathrooms

So…..I was looking through some bathroom ideas and I am really stuck on this boho theme as you may be aware. I know I hide it quite well 😉

I love beautiful colour of the walls, the sheer fabric at the windows adds some light while the gold bowl adds glamour.

There is so much going on on the walls of this design, the shabby mirrors, the old fashioned photos and drawings, the modern clock and the butterfly picture frame show a very eclectic taste. The grey colour of the wall adds a great background which doesn’t detract from the wall display. It takes a moment to realise that there is actually a sink in all of this.

I love the pattern on the inside of the sink. The lace on the walls is gorgeous and very unusual but possible not the most practical wall covering.

The chandelier adds a beautiful focal point in this bathroom. I also love the shiny black mirror and cabinet.

The turquoise goes so well and I would love to relax in the bath whilst taking in all the lovely pictures on the walls. The tiles above the sink are gorgeous. The shower curtain isn’t very practical but for some reason there is something romantic about it. What do you think?

Glam up your bathroom

Posted on

We went to the Crazy Bear for lunch last weekend. Beautiful place, very opulent Interior Design but carried off in a classy way. A little overdone but all the better for it. The washrooms are amazing and got me thinking about adding a touch of glamour to a bathroom….take a look at these…..
